Tyrant
For his first project since winning the best director Oscar for "Life of Pi", filmmaker Ang Lee will executive produce and direct the pilot for the FX show "Tyrant".

The story deals with an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. "Homeland" producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff will also executive produce. [Source: The Live Feed]

Doctor Who
Caroline Skinner, who came onto the show as executive producer starting with 2011's Christmas special (replacing the outgoing Piers Wenger and Beth Willis), will depart at the end of the current seventh season.

Head of Drama at BBC Wales, Faith Penhale, will take over Skinner's duties for the soon-to-be-filmed 50th anniversary episode. Skinner will continue working on BBC2's one-off drama "An Adventure In Space and Time". Steven Moffat remains onboard as show runner. [Source: DW News]

Strike Back
Dougray Scott ("Mission: Impossible II"), Robson Green ("Wire in the Blood"), and Milauna Jackson ("Blood Done Sign My Name") are joining the cast of Cinemax’s action drama "Strike Back" for its upcoming third season.

Scott plays a rogue operative, Green plays a new member of Section 20, and Jackson is a key player who crosses paths with the counterterrorism team. [Source: Deadline]

Nostradamus
Rossif Sutherland ("Copper," "Timeline") has joined The CW drama pilot "Reign" in the role of the wizard prophet Nostradamus.

The drama tells the previously unknown and untold story of Mary Queen of Scots' rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis.
