Worldview is closing a deal to co-finance the film adaptation of Tom Rob's 1950s Stalinist Russia-set novel "Child 44" at Summit Entertainment.
The story follows a member of the Soviet police (Tom Hardy) who, while investigating a series of child murders, finds himself the target of his own government's suspicions.
Noomi Rapace plays his wife, who pretends to be a doting partner but is concealing many thoughts and feelings.
Daniel Espinosa ("Safe House") helms from a script by Richard Price. Ridley Scott and Michael Costigan are producing, and shooting aims to begin in June.
