David Strathairn ("The Bourne Ultimatum," "Lincoln") is in talks to play a military character in Gareth Edwards' "Godzilla" reboot at Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.
Based on the classic monster from Toho Co., Ltd, the new "Godzilla" is said to return to the character's origins with a gritty and realistic contemporary edge.
Meanwhile, though he was linked a month ago, Bryan Cranston himself has reportedly confirmed he is onboard.
Cranston appeared on The Bob Clark Show on Albuquerque's 770 KKOB this morning that once he wraps filming the last few episodes of "Breaking Bad," he is headed up to Vancouver for "Godzilla".
