Liam Neeson is in negotiations, while Giovanni Ribisi is set to re-team with "Ted" director Seth MacFarlane on the comedy western "A Million Ways To Die In The West" at Media Rights Capital.
MacFarlane, who also co-wrote the film, will play Albert, a not very good sheep farmer who chickens out of a duel and gets dumped by his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried).
Neeson play the film's villain, a nefarious outlaw whose wife (Charlize Theron) teaches the cowardly farmer the ways of gun-fighting in order for him to win back his lady love.
Ribisi is in talks to play MacFarlane’s character's best friend Edward, a simple shoe repairman who bears up with a girlfriend who won’t have sex with him, but as a working prostitute she’s doing it with everybody else. Jonah Hill was previously linked to the role.
Universal is expected to distribute. Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild co-wrote the script, while Scott Stuber and Jason Clark are producing.
