The film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" has been resurrected.
The Megan Ellison-backed Panorama Media has come onboard to produce, finance and handle foreign sales on the project. They join the previously attached Darko Entertainment, Handsomecharlie Films and producer Allison Shearmur.
David O. Russell penned the screenplay. The team is currently out to directors, and the film will be packaged for Cannes.
This adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's offbeat novel mixes Jane Austen's 1813 classic "Pride and Prejudice," with zombies and is set in an alternate version of 19th-century England.
Originally setup at Lionsgate, the project stalled a while back due to various issues. Now though, it appears to be shuffling along again.
