Last Fall came word that actor Nicolas Cage and director William Friedkin were slated to team on the thriller "I Am Wrath".
In the film, Cage was to play a man whose wife is murdered. He sets out for vengeance against both the killers and a corrupt police department.
Appearing at the Berlin International Film Festival this week, Cage sadly revealed that the project has fallen apart.
Cage says: "'I Am Wrath' is not going ahead, but not because of Billy [Friedkin] -- other issues came out of the whole process… Billy knows how important he is to me. It didn’t work on that one, for whatever reason, but I’m hopeful that one day it’ll happen… I have no doubt that Friedkin and I would get up to something special."
