Relativity Media will co-finance and domestically distribute "Brick Mansions," the U.S. remake of French action hit "Banlieue 13" (aka. "District B13").
Paul Walker plays a detective trying to track down a stolen weapon of mass destruction in the ghetto dubbed Brick Mansions. He enlists the help of Lino (David Belle), a fearless man who knows the slum like the back of his hand.
Belle starred in the original and invented the sport of parkour which is used heavily throughout it and its sequel.
Luc Besson and his "Taken" co-scribe Robert Mark Kamen are penning the script. Camille Delamarre, a protege of Besson, will direct.
