Lots of small news bites came in over the weekend, many that are too long to fit in the one line format so they've been loosely shoved in here - enjoy:
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe The AAP reports that Nicole Kidman flew into Christchurch this week on a top secret visit to tour locations for New Zealand's latest fantasy epic - the film adaptation of the classic C.S. Lewis fantasy tale. The project is mainly being shot in Auckland and around some of the South Island, whilst if she is involved there's quite a few already pegging her for the role of the White Witch.
The Six-Million Dollar Man On the weekend it was announced that "Old School" & "Starsky & Hutch" Director Todd Phillips is attached as director to this TV to film adaptation, Jim Carrey was asked how it's progressing by About.Com - "Six million dollars doesn’t get you a lot in this world these days, so you can imagine where the plot’s going to go... don't know if it’s going to happen or not because it’s not really that far down the line. We’re developing that script".
Alias: The Movie 'Karl' went to the Hol Museum for the recent J.J Abrams do, and some of the cast of both "Alias" and the cancelled "Felicity" spoke about different things: "Keri Russell basically said there's little chance of her doing a guest-star as she thinks it would be too weird. Jennifer Garner mentioned that Abrams would have to direct an "Alias" movie should it happen, to which he replied 'yeah, well that's the plan...but that's a long way's down the track. But when it comes to it. I'm all over that one'. Jen said she'd glady be back for the film. Scott Speedman confirmed his involvement in "Underworld 2" and I gathered that Lena Olin (Sydney's Mom) will NEVER return in any form on the show".
The Grudge The first part of a report from the Japanese set of the American "Ju-On" remake with Sarah Michelle Gellar & Jason Behr is now up at CHUD, and describes the haunted house movie's plot as: "the story of an American nurse, Karen (Gellar) who is sent to care for an elderly woman, Emma (Grace Zabriskie) who is staying in Japanwith her son, Matthew (William Mapother) and his wife, Jennifer (Clea DuVall). Matthew's sister, Susan (KadeeStrickland) also lives and works in Japanas does Karen's boyfriend, Doug (Jason Behr). The elderly woman, Emma, cannot speak and is almost assuredly dying. The house where she's staying is, well, perhaps not the best address in the world. In fact, it may well be one of the absolute worst". Click here for set descriptions and some cast/crew talk.
