Bradley Cooper ("Silver Linings Playbook") and Omar Sy ("The Intouchables") are in discussions to star in the culinary comedy "Chef" at The Weinstein Company.
Cooper would star as a disgraced chef who, after losing his Michelin-rated restaurant in Paris, decides to bring his crew together in an attempt to create the best restaurant ever in London.
Cooper previously played a chef making a career comeback in Fox's sitcom "Kitchen Confidential."
Derek Cianfrance ("The Place Beyond the Pines," "Blue Valentine") is set to direct from a script by "Eastern Promises" scribe Steven Knight.
This would mark Sy's first role in an English-language film.
