HBO is moving forward on a feature-length film based on their acclaimed but cancelled comedy "Bored to Death."
Author-essayist Jonathan Ames is reportedly scripting the project which would be a continuation with these characters after the events of the third and final season.
The show was a lightly comic and contemporary neo-noir that followed the quirky adventures of a Brooklyn-based writer and amateur detective (Jason Schwartzman).
The two other key characters, Zach Galifianakis as the perennially frustrated friend Ray and Ted Danson as his stoner former editor George, would return for the film.
Ames will write and executive produce the project.
