Scott Rosenberg is going to take a ride on the Orient Express, the scribe having sold an untitled thriller pitch to Columbia Pictures set aboard the world-famous train says Reuters.
The story centers on a former thief who once specialized in stealing items while in transit is pressed into service by a Pentagon official, who's obsessed with masterminding a 21st-century heist aboard fabled romantic train.
Rosenberg will write the script with Evan Weiner and will produce with Michael DeLuca. Various films and stories have been set on the famed train, arguably the most famous being Agatha Christie's unforgettable mystery tale "Murder on the Orient Express" which became an Oscar-winning 1974 Sidney Lumet feature.
