"Jupiter" Skips Sydney For London

The Wachowski Starship have opted to film their reported $200 million sci-fi feature "Jupiter Ascending" in London next year. Channing Tatum stars.

The Wachowskis were originally slated to return to Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia where they shot the "The Matrix" trilogy.

However, a combination of the high value of the Aussie dollar and the federal government's refusal to increase financial support - as they did in the case of the just wrapped "The Wolverine" - has seen the Australian film industry miss out.

It's indicated that no international productions have booked Fox Studios over the next year, and right now it's uncertain if David Fincher's "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo" will move into the space without a larger Government rebate.
