Jared Leto is joining the cast of Jean-Marc Vallee's "The Dallas Buyers Club" opposite Matthew McConaughy. Leto has reportedly won the part over the previously linked Gael Garcia Bernal.
The true story tale follows Ron Woodroof, a tough Texas electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1986 and given six months to live.
He used alternative drugs and created a lucrative smuggling business that made those drugs available to AIDS patients.
Leto is said to play an AIDS patient named Rayon in the film which begins shooting this month in New Orleans. This marks Leto's first film since 2009's "Mr. Nobody".
