A couple of long swirling rumors got confirmed yesterday by various sources.
First up, Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that Nicolas Cage is onboard to join the cast of the upcoming third "The Expendables" movie. Cage was one of several names linked to the project a while ago.
UPDATE (11/7): Not so fast, Stallone has now denied the report, saying it was an old quote taken out of context.
Next up, Roberto Orci and Joe Hill have confirmed the reports from last week that a film trilogy adaptation of the "Locke and Key" comic book series is in the works.
Then there's Warners rep Lance Sloan who has confirmed the "Mortal Kombat" reboot film, based on the 'Legacy' web series, is under way with Kevin Tancharoen back at the helm. Sloan also indicated the budget would be at the $40-50 million mark.
