See Cinderella Man & Hate It For Free

A lot of people are loving "Cinderella Man" it seems, especially film exhibitors. The Russell Crowe Depression-era drama has made headlines recently for being not only one of the best reviewed films of the year, but one of the lesser attended. After four weeks of release the film has taken in around $50 million dollars, even in this current box-office slump that's a disappointment - especially considering the good buzz.

Now, AMC Theatres hopes to keep the film from throwing in the towel. The Hollywood Reporter indicates that in an effort to spread positive word-of-mouth about the boxing drama that stars Russell Crowe, AMC is making moviegoers an unusual offer of a money-back guarantee. Ticket buyers who don't like the film are promised that their money will be refunded, no questions asked.

The theater chain, the country's second largest, began the promotion Friday with ads saying "AMC believes 'Cinderella Man' is one of the finest motion pictures of the year! We believe so strongly that you'll enjoy 'Cinderella Man,' we're offering a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE".

Thanks to 'Eddie'.
