"The Machinist" and "Session 9" director Brad Anderson looks to have replaced "Paranormal Activity" helmer Oren Peli as director of the long-gestating horror thriller "Eliza Graves".
Based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether", the story follows a medical student who goes to work at a mental asylum, unaware that the inmates are now literally running it.
Joseph Gangemi ("Wind Chill") adapted the script while Millennium Films has just acquired the rights to the project.
Peli is still onboard as producer alongside Bruce Davey, Mark Amin, Cami Winikoff and Mel Gibson. Shooting aims to begin in the Spring with casting offers going out next week.
