Christoph Waltz ("Inglorious Basterds," "Django Unchained") is set to play the key role of an Interpol inspector in the Europe-set sequel to last year's "The Muppets" at Disney Pictures.
The part is one of three key human roles in the project, the others being a Russian femme fatale and a male lead with questionable intentions. There's also likely to be room for plenty of celebrity cameos.
The first film's star and co-writer Jason Segal is not returning for the follow-up, but director James Bobin is coming back. Bobin co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller.
