"Alex Cross", the Tyler Perry-led reboot of the film series based on James Patterson's forensic psychologist character, opens this Friday. Reviews haven't been kind thus far and it isn't likely to set the box-office on fire.
Yet with a budget of just $23 million (after subsidies), the film will almost certainly make money for those involved. In fact there's already talk over at Summit Entertainment of a sequel being put into the works says Deadline.
A deal is reportedly coming together that would see production company QED International scoring the rights to Patterson's novel "Double Cross" to serve as the basis for the next feature.
That book had the now retired Cross hunting down two serial murderers - DCAK, and Cross' former colleague Kyle Craig (aka. The Mastermind).
