The Last Ship
"Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane will play Commander Tom Chanler in Platinum Dunes' action/adventure pilot "The Last Ship" for TNT. Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Hank Steinberg are producing.

The story follows the crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic decimates most of the earth's population. By himself plans to direct the pilot. [Source: EW]

American Horror Story: Asylum
"Deadwood" and "Kings" actor Ian McShane is returning to television for a two episode guest stint on FX's "American Horror Story" for its second season. Specific details on who he'll play are being kept under wraps other than will "tussle" with Jessica Lange's Sister Jude.
