Amazon Studios has scored the film rights to Ania Ahlborn's "Seed", the first novel to be optioned for a film adaptation by the online retailing giant says Heat Vision.
The story follows a teen boy who sees an unspeakable horror on a rural road and flees his home. Years later, now a married family man, he encounters the evil again when his wife and daughters are caught in (but survive) a terrible car crash.
He must soon stop the thing from possessing his youngest daughter. The studio will shortly begin the process of adapting the script.
In the space of a year since Amazon began its original content wing Amazon Studios, it has already put twenty-one film scripts and seven episodic series into development.
