"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch is being considered to play WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in the currently untitled film that Bill Condon is potentially directing for DreamWorks says Deadline.
Added to that, "The Killing" and "Robocop" actor Joel Kinnaman has also been linked to the project in the role of Assange's former right hand man Daniel Domscheit-Berg. The studio however will not confirm any of this.
Jeremy Renner was previously linked to the film, based on two books about the site and Assange. The project is one of several Assange films in development, others include Alex Gibney's documentary and features (both big screen and small) in development at HBO, Universal, Josephson Entertainment, Matchbox Pictures, and with producer Megan Ellison.
