Dujardin Wanted For Clooney's "Monument's"

Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”) is being eyed for a role in George Clooney’s “The Monument’s Men” reports The Wrap.

Dujardin would play a supporting role in the story of a group of men and women who chased down the stolen art of Europe during World War II.

Clooney directs, will produce and will co-write the screenplay with Grant Heslov. He also stars as George Stout, a U.S. Army officer and leading art conservationist, who repatriated tens of thousands of pieces of art from the Nazis.

The filmmakers are said to be pursuing Cate Blanchett and Paul Giamatti for roles in the film. Dujardin has also scored a role in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film, “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Shooting will take place in Germany, Austria, Paris and England next spring.
