Nicolas Cage is in talks to star in "Donnie Darko" director Richard Kelly's new crime thriller "Amicus" reports The Press Association.
The film will be based on the true story case of former Motown Records producer Lawrence Horn. Horn hired a hitman to murder his wife, quadriplegic son and live-in nurse so he could inherit their wealth
The story is expected to span more than two decades, from the initial crime through the trial and the subsequent victims' families' lawsuit against publisher Paladin Press.
Cage would play First Amendment attorney Rodney Smolla. Shooting aims to kick off in January in Atlanta.
