DreamWorks is quietly developing a remake of the Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin-led 1984 body swap comedy "All of Me" says The Hollywood Reporter.
Carl Reiner's original followed a dying millionairess who, in trying to achieve immortality, transfers her spirit into the body of a nebbish attorney. The two end up finding a way to work together.
Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein ("The Vow," "Never Been Kissed") have penned the script for the remake which John Davis will produce. The genders will be swapped for this version with a guy's spirit ending up inside that of a woman.
Still in script development stage, THR Esq suggests the project may not happen at all due to ongoing rights and legal issues at original production company Kings Road Entertainment.
