Iron Man 3
Here's an interesting SPOILER rumour if true. Seems the new cream-and-red coloured armour Tony Stark sports in this upcoming sequel is NOT the Mark 8 suit but rather the Mark 47.

So what happened to the other forty? Turns out there's apparently an action scene where Tony is going to control up to that many Iron Man suits - likely as distractions as he faces a tough enemy. [Source: Latino Review]

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" producer Rick Jaffa says the upcoming sequel will NOT delve into the time travel elements of the original franchise.

"It's the one big element that we made a conscious decision not to explore in the first one…and I don't really foresee it, to tell you the truth" says Jaffa. [Source: CBM]

Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall
He was previous linked but now it's official - Jim Carrey has officially signed on to play Colonel Stars in the upcoming sequel.

The character galvanizes the team of misfit superheroes to go up against Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). [Source: Deadline]

Star Trek 2
Chris Pine carefully avoided saying anything remotely revealing recently when asked about the upcoming "Star Trek" sequel. It's bigger, it's darker, it's funnier, and it has character development - I guess that's surprising?

"There's comedy, which I think J.J. does a great job of, but, like the first one, there's some serious issues being dealt with. And I'd say the threat is even greater in this one… The force [the Enterprise crew] are met with is much more frightening. It's relentlessly action-packed and in terms of character development it goes places you'd never expect. The arc is huge for all the characters" says Pine. [Source: Total Film]
