Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski are reportedly the latest names under consideration to helm Warners proposed superhero ensemble effort "Justice League" says Moviehole.
The pair, who helmed the "Matrix" trilogy and "Speed Racer", certainly have the big budget action and visual credentials to take on such a project.
With the upcoming "Cloud Atlas" they've also demonstrated the ability to handle an ambitious project with an epic scope, massive ensemble cast and multiple story lines. It isn't clear however if an actual offer is out to the pair.
The news comes on the heels of comments by Ben Affleck to Heat Vision.
A report in Variety a few weeks ago emerged saying Affleck was being courted to direct. Affleck has now responded saying "I'm not working on the Justice League. One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumours get started. Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on" he says.
