Julianne Moore is in negotiations to star opposite Clive Owen in Universal Pictures sci fi adventure "The Children of Men" according to various sources.
"Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban" helmer Alfonso Cuaron is directing the adaptation of P.D. James' novel for Universal Pictures. A September start date is being eyed which means Moore could head onto the Philip K. Dick sci-fi pic "Next" directly afterwards. She's already signed for "Next" which co-stars Nicolas Cage and is being directed by Lee Tamahori.
'Children' is set in the near-future where mankind has lost the ability to procreate. The world is rocked by the news that the youngest person on earth - who is 18 years old - has died. As chaos erupts, a former radical (Owen) is engaged to be the protector of the most sought after person on the planet - the last remaining pregnant female (Moore).
Thanks to 'Casey'.
