Steindorff To Adapt Khoury's "Origin"

Scott Steindorff ("The Lincoln Lawyer") and his Scott Pictures label have scored the film rights to Jessica Khoury's upcoming young adult novel "Origin" says Heat Vision.

The story follows Pia, a young woman created to be immortal by a scientist somewhere in the Amazon jungle.

On her 17th birthday, she escapes her compound, meets a village boy and goes on an adventure to find the truth of her origin.

Steindorff and Dylan Russell will produce the adaptation.
