Amanda Plummer ("Pulp Fiction," "The Fisher King") is set to play the District 3 female tribute 'Wiress' in Francis Lawrence's upcoming sequel "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" reports Heat Vision.
Forced to compete during the Quarter Quell, Wiress' eccentricity and silence prompts her fellow competitors to nickname her "Nuts." Katniss however recognizes her value as an ally.
The news comes as talk emerges (via Variety) that Sam Claflin, Melissa Leo and Tony Shalhoub are the favourites for key roles in the film. They would play a trident-wielding tribute, the veteran tribute Mags, and the inventor Volts respectively.
Shooting kicks off in September.
