"Bellflower" producer Vincent Grashaw will make his feature directorial debut on the indie drama "Coldwater" reports Variety.
The story deals with the stark realities behind juvenile rehabilitation in the U.S. as it explores a teen boy struggling to survive inside a wilderness boot camp.
Said camp is run by a retired war colonel and counselors who believe in psychologically destroying the youngsters to correct their delinquent behavior.
Grashaw and Mark Penney co-wrote the script while Grashaw, Kris Dorrance, Mike Dorrance, Dave Gare and Sarah Farrand will produce. Shooting kicks off in August in the Sierra Nevada.
