Coixet Takes Helm Of "Age of Adaline"

Spanish director Isabel Coixet ("Elegy," "Secret Life of Words") has signed on to direct the fantasy romance "The Age of Adaline" for Lakeshore Entertainment, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Anonymous Content says The Hollywood Reporter.

Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz penned the script which follows a young woman killed and then revived in a freak accident that physiologically locks her into her late 20's. After decades of living a solitary existence, she finally meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality over so they can grow old together. Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz penned the screenplay.

The project was previously set up as a vehicle for actress Katherine Heigl and director Andy Tennant. Gabrielle Muccino was also attached at one point. None of them are involved any longer.

Steve Golin, Alix Madigan, Sidney Kimmel, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will produce
