Writer's Block: Hughes, Home, Disturbia, Town

Blood Moon Productions, a publishing company based in New York City, has reached an agreement with a Dutch based consortium to finance a $35-million film based on the 2004 biography "Howard Hughes: Hell's Angel," by Darwin Porter. The Montecito Picture Co. has pre-emptively picked up two projects, one a spec script, the other a pitch. Spec "Disturbia" is written by Christopher Landon and is described as a teen thriller homage to "Rear Window." New Line has acquired the spec script "Stay at Home Tom," by Adam Gibgot. The story centers on a man with a successful, career-minded wife who finds himself forced to stay at home to take care of their kids. Gibgot's wife, Jennifer, has producing credits that include "She's All That," "The Wedding Planner" and "The Pacifier".
