"Copper" is BBC America’s first original scripted series, a crime drama set in 1860's New York.

Tom Weston-Jones, most recently seen in the final season of the BBC's "Spooks", stars as a rugged Irish-American cop working the city’s notorious Five Points neighborhood, struggling to maintain his moral compass in a chaotic world. Kevin Ryan ("Raw") also stars.

EW has released this first look still as well as announcing the series premiere date - August 19th.

Hannibal & The Killing
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "30 Days of Night" helmer David Slade is set to direct the premiere episode of NBC's "Hannibal" series featuring the characters from Thomas Harris' novel "Red Dragon" (ie. Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter). Slade recently helmed the pilot episode of NBC's new Jason Isaacs-led drama "Awake".

Speaking of directors, "Monster" helmer Patty Jenkins is returning to AMC's "The Killing". Jenkins helmed the pilot episode and will direct the second season finale which will wrap up the case of the murder of Rosie Larsen. [Source: Deadline]

With the "Game of Thrones" second season premiere last night came first look trailers for three other HBO shows. The first is Aaron Sorkin's much anticipated return to television with "The Newsroom" which debuts June 24th.

The second is a new trailer for the fifth season of "True Blood" with the first actual footage from the season. The third is the first teaser trailer for the third season of "Boardwalk Empire".
