Jessica Biel has been cast in Sacha Gervasi's "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho" for Montecito Pictures reports Deadline.
Adapted from Stephen Rebello's non-fiction book by "Black Swan" scribe John McLaughlin, Anthony Hopkins will portray Hitchcock with the story focusing on his quest to make his 1960 horror classic "Psycho" - a film no studio wanted a part of at the time.
Hitchcock ultimately secured financing himself. Hellen Mirren will play his wife Alma Reville, a talented editor in her own right who was particularly good at error correction.
Biel will play actress Vera Miles, the woman whose character Lila Crane becomes the female lead for the second half of "Psycho". She joins a cast that also includes Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh and reportedly James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins.
Speaking of films about Hitchcock, BBC Films have released the first photo of Toby Jones and Sienna Miller as Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren respectively in Julian Jarrold's upcoming TV movie "The Girl".
The shot is a re-creation of a famous behind-the-scenes photo of the pair during the making of 1963′s "The Birds". The film itself chronicles the filmmaker’s obsessive relationship with Hedren during the making of "The Birds" and "Marnie" and how his sexual advances to Hedren ruined their friendship.
