I love a good publicity stunt just like the next man, but seriously the ones of late are becoming so transparent or are just so conveniently 'timed' that one can't help but laugh. In three weeks comes "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", perfectly cashing in on the timing in regards to its co-stars apparently blossoming relationship. The pairing of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has helped given "Batman Begins" and "War of the Worlds" their fair share of free publicity in recent days.
Now however comes something a little more interesting and believable. Domino Harvey, the former Ford model turned bounty hunter, is in prison today awaiting a trial date after FBI agents seized more than $1m of amphetamines reports The Mirror. Harvey has been charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs, possession, racketeering and trafficking.
Again the timing couldn't be better. Mid-August sees the release of a film about her life in which she is played by Keira Knightley. Knightley, who met Domino briefly before shooting of the $55m movie began in Los Angeles and Las Vegas in October said: "It was fascinating to hear her talk about the decisions that she made - it definitely helped with my character."
It is not yet clear if a trial will affect the release date of the movie says Keiraweb.
