17-year-old Canadian star Brendan Meyer (TV's "Mr. Young") has joined Gavin Hood's film adaptation of the Orson Scott Card sci-fi novel "Ender’s Game" at OddLot.
Meyer will play Stilson, a classmate of Ender (Asa Butterfield) who taunted him during ground school in the futuristic film. Shooting kicks off early next year in New Orleans.
Meanwhile British actor James Frain (TV's "True Blood," "The Tudors") has joined the cast of Gore Verbinski's "The Lone Ranger" at Disney.
Frain will play a tough foreman overseeing Chinese and Indian rail workers who works for the story’s chief villain. Shooting kicks off late January.
