Katie Holmes looks set to replace Jude Law's girlfriend Sienna Miller in the lead role as Edie Sedgwick in a new movie called "Factory Girl" reports Ananova. The former Dawson's Creek star who is dating Tom Cruise is in talks to play the 60s' It girl who died of a barbiturate overdose in 1971.
While some newspaper reports this week suggested Miller had been dropped from the film, Miller's reps say she bowed out after landing the role of Celia in a West End production of As You Like It. Filming will begin this summer in New York.
LA Confidential star Guy Pearce will play Warhol, Gwen Stefani is due to play fellow Factory girl Richie Berlin while her husband Gavin Rossdale will play Warhol superstar Gerard Malanga. Sedgwick is rumoured to have had affairs with Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger amongst others.
