Carpenter ("Halloween") was drawn to Paul Margolis' "Apostle" script, which was submitted to his "John Carpenter Presents" mentoring program. Margolis is a television scribe whose credits include several episodes of "MacGyver."
In "Apostle," a Pittsburgh detective who must exorcise his own demons while investigating a series of gruesome murders. He joins forces with a stockbroker to go undercover in an Internet serial killer club.
Carpenter is also committed to directing an episode of Showtime's anthology "Masters of Horror" and is currently producing a remake of his 1980 film "The Fog" for Revolution Studios.
