2005 Cannes Film Festival: Posters for various upcoming films are up on the Cannes croisette and pics of these are up at Moviehole.

24 (TV): NBC is trying hard to get the rights to the Kiefer Sutherland series for next season according to TVTome.

Beowulf: Filmmaker Roger Avary ("The Rules of Attraction") talks about how the latest film version of the Danish poem classic "Beowulf" is progressing on his official site.

Blade (TV): Spike TV president Doug Herzog announced the network will adapt the theatrical franchise "Blade" as a series for early next year. New Line Television and Marvel Studios will produce the project, with David Goyer, writer-director of "Blade: Trinity," executive producing. Goyer is not expected to write the pilot.

Casino Royale (007)CommanderBond.net has confirmed that Sony will film the 21st James Bond movie in Prague instead of UK's Pinewood Studios, where 007 films are usually shot. The production is headed for Barrandov Studios in the Czech Republic city and filming may be starting in November.

D-War: The official site for the CG dragon movie has been updated.

The Da Vinci Code: French actor Lambert Wilson ("Matrix Reloaded", "Sahara") confessed recently with humor he desesperately tried to get a role but... failed.

Silent Hill: Alice Krige ("Star Trek: First Contact", "Children of Dune", "Reign of Fire") will join Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean in "Silent Hill", based on the hugely successful Konami game where Rose (Mitchell) is desperately searching for her lost daughter (Jodelle Ferland) in the mysterious and terrifying town of Silent Hill, where they are both trapped. Alice Krige will play Cristabella.

Smallville (TV): A video interview with creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough is up at IESB.

Splinter Cell: An August start of shooting date is being targeted for the Tom Clancy video game adaptation. The script is ready, the casting is being finalised and Tom Clancy is apparently happy with how its come together.

Star Wars: Episode III: Star Wars: Episode III director George Lucas and producer Rick McCallum have confirmed to MTV.com that Revenge of the Sith will be on DVD in time for Christmas THIS year. McCallum said the disc will contain as many as 5 or 6 deleted scenes from the film. Lucas also confirmed that a box set of all six Star Wars films will be released at some point in the future.
