The Indomina Group has optioned the rights to two new "Cabin Fever" movies to be shot back-to-back in the Dominican Republic in early Spring.

Eli Roth directed the original 2002 indie horror comedy about a group of college graduates who rent a cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus.

Jake Wade Wall ("The Hitcher," "When a Stranger Calls") has signed on to pen the screenplay for the first sequel "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero". The premise involves a cruise ship in the Caribbean colliding with an abandoned research vessel, unleashing the deadly virus.

Adam and Deborah Marcus ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D") are penning the second one "Cabin Fever: Outbreak" which follows a doctor and his family who travel to a remote Caribbean island to investigate a minor flu outbreak, only to discover a vicious flesh-eating virus that threatens everyone on the island.

Hypotenuse Pictures, who produced the original, will produce the sequels.
