Denver was the site of a large convention this past weekend with assorted sneak peeks shown including one for "War of the Worlds" that was so well received it got replayed.
The summer sci-fi juggernaut was everywhere but most revealing was that the next 'level' of marketing material for the film was hinted at with sidewalks littered with an alien language (an example is at alienglyph.com) and banners showing off a more 'destruction & devastation' tone to the film's posters and title work.
There was also a bus/truck of sorts driving around playing footage from the film and here's some pics. Expect the new US trailer to probably hit with the release of "Star Wars":
