Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired Nick Hornby's fourth novel "A Long Way Down" to adapt as a motion picture says Reuters. Graham King, Johnny Depp and David Heyman will produce.
"A Long Way Down" is a darkly comic story about four desperate people who meet on New Year's Eve and form a surrogate family to help themselves weather the difficulties of their lives. The story follows each of their attempts to overcome their struggles and the way they alternately madden and rescue each other.
Hornby also wrote the much loved books "About a Boy", "High Fidelity" and "Fever Pitch" which have all been adapted into movies at least once since 1997.
