Courteney Cox has been cast as the female lead opposite Tim Allen in Revolution's "Zoom," being directed by Pete Hewitt reports Reuters. Production is scheduled for July, with Sony Pictures releasing the film around the Summer of next year.
Based on Jason Lethcoe's graphic novel "Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted," the film has Allen playing an out-of-shape former superhero who has lost his powers. He is reluctantly called back into action to turn a ragtag group of kids into a new generation of superheroes in order to save the world from destruction.
Cox will play Marsha, a scientist with the secret agency that runs the superhero program. She'll next be seen in the Adam Sandler comedy "The Longest Yard" opening May 27th.
