"Hostel" and "Cabin Fever" filmmaker Eli Roth tells Screen Daily he still wants to make his long-gestating sci-fi apocalypse film "Endangered Species" as his next movie.
The $40-60 million budget flick will deal with an end of the world scenario that's "a little more grounded" than aliens, robots or pandemics. Due to the expense, Roth has been working hard on the script and re-writes to ensure he has it locked before he begins shooting.
Roth is producing the horror-thriller "Aftershock" set in the aftermath of the Chilean earthquake back in February. That project begins shooting this Fall.
