Danny Elfman and T. Bone Burnett are confirmed to be scoring "The Hunger Games" reports Movies.com, while Elfman will also work on Sam Raimi's upcoming tentpole "Oz The Great and Powerful" at Disney Pictures says Film Music Reporter.
The "Oz" move comes as a surprise. After four films together including the first two "Spider-Man" films, Elfman and director Sam Raimi parted ways rather publicly and unpleasantly, the former slamming the latter over the "miserable experience" he had on the "Spider-Man" sequel.
Giving an interview at the Grammy Museum in L.A, Elfman said "I'm not going to say no to ... Sam." As for 'Games', Elfman says "That deal's not even closed, it may not even happen, but we're well along with that".
Elfman's upcoming efforts include Real Steel," "Frankenweenie," "Dark Shadows" and "Men in Black 3".
