Moritz Talks Furious 3 & Luke Cage

By Garth Franklin Tuesday April 19th 2005 04:06PM

Producer extraordinaire Neal Moritz has been out promoting "XXX: State of the Union" and About.Com got some scoops on his upcoming slate of films as well.

When asked whether the next "Fast and the Furious" will be with neither Vin Diesel or Paul Walker, he responded "Yes, it is....we really loved making those two movies and we were looking for a fresh take on how to go into that world again, we came to this idea of going to Japan. It's where a lot of this stuff started, so it's about the new level of racing there" says Moritz who confirmed they had talked about bringing Diesel's character back but it never got much beyond the treatment stage. There's also no title at present.

Has he met with Jamie Foxx on the Luke Cage project? "I talked to him about it, yeah. I don't know if it'll happen but I know he's wanting to do it." Right now though Moritz is busy with various other projects including the "Hot Wheels" movie and "Man with the Football", but "Johnny Bravo" is sadly on hold right now.
