Further photos from the Indian shoot of Christopher Nolan‘s "The Dark Knight Rises" have popped up via Facebook and reveal close-ups of the mysterious nine-metre long green screen pit which many have already speculated as being a Lazarus Pit.
In the comics, the pit was a pool of chemicals that acted as a fountain of youth for Ra's Al Ghul. Here though, it's something else it seems as The Dark Knight Rises Community has posted up an apparent description of a scene that was shot: "Eyewitnesses and crew members told us of a particular scene being filmed where a bald-headed child wearing ragged clothes emerges from the well and pulls his hood over his head."
One photo from the set seems to confirm that actor Josh Pence, who is rumored to be playing a twenty-something Ra's in flashbacks, was on hand for the filming. This has lead to speculation that the bald child is a young Bane and that the pit and Bane's venom drug are tied together.
Meanwhile, Marion Cotillard also told French press (via Nolan Fans) this week that her role as Miranda Tate in the film is only a small one, one that's not central to the main plot, and one that is "a very comfortable one for a new mother".
