Capote vs. Capote Update

United Artists has finished production on writer/director Ben Miller's biopic "Capote".  Phillip Seymour Hoffman plays the legendary true crime novelist whose 1964 novel "In Cold Blood" became an international blockbuster and the 1967 hit movie.  Catherine Keener cCxo-stars as "To Kill a Mockingbird" novelist Harper Lee, who accompanies Truman Capote to Kansas for research.  "Capote" wrapped on February 20th and will make an apperance at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City as a "work-in-progress".  A representative from United Artists will annouce a release date then.

Warner Independent Pictures has "Every Word is True".  British unknown Toby Jones plays Truman Capote with Sandra Bullock as Harper Lee and Daniel Craig as Capote's "friend" Perry Smith.  This has been shooting in Austin, Texas since February 15th and is scheduled to wrap April 30th.  "Every Word is True" will make an apperance at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival in the same matter as "Capote".
