Queen Latifah Talks Upcoming Films

"Beauty Shop" star Queen Latifah is not one to rest on her laurels. The girl is actively out there and working on projects to either produce or star in and she spoke recently with iF Magazine about them.

Most likely going next is "Bad Girls" which Latifah says "That is probably going to go in the next few months, and that'll be a big action movie, big giant set pieces. It's kind of like a spin off of 'Bad Boys', you know, it's that same thing." The movie sees her and Jada Pinkett Smith as action packed cops.

The planned remake of 2001 Korean comedy "My Wife is a Gangster" however "is on hold. It needs a mean rewrite, and it needs a good director." Don't expect a "Bringing Down the House" sequel either - "It just didn't happen. I don't think they wanted to pay us that much money. They can't see themselves writing a check that big."

Latifah will next be seen in a modern remake of the classic 1950 Alec Guinness comedy/drama "Last Holiday", where she plays a woman with three weeks to live.
