Newly formed Theta Films is co-financing its first pic with Catfish Prods., the comedy "Blind Guy," starring Chris Pine. Production is skedded to begin April 26 in Salt Lake City reports Variety.
"Blind Guy" is about a visually impaired but highly confident young man seeking love and a chance to see. After a series of disastrous dates, he falls for his doctor's young receptionist, a beautiful emigrant from India, but their love is thwarted by cultural differences.
Eddie Kaye Thomas ("American Pie"), Jane Seymour and newcomer Anjali Jay also star. James Keach is directing, based on an original screenplay by Christopher Theo. Pine is shooting New Regency's "Just My Luck," opposite Lindsay Lohan. He co-starred in Disney's "The Princess Diaries II."
